Running Post

Rob - this is safe to read, the sappy, romantic post is over. Time to talk about running again.

Eric is in the taper mode for CCC, so yesterday on his birthday, he decided to run with us for the early am Hill Run + 2. That's become our (my) new thing - if we're going to run the hill run, and we're going to do an eight mile mid-week run, I think we oughta just combine them and be done with it. This is the third time we've done Hill + 2 and I like it! It adds one more major hill. Anyway, Eric came out to run with Emily, Jenny, Rick and I, and we thought maybe Rob. Rob didn't make it (he didn't say he was going to, we just thought maybe he would). Rick's back was bothering him, but he showed up just to be sure I had someone to run with (awfully sweet). Once he saw the others were there, he went back home. I think Eric quite enjoyed his run with the women. Emily met her goal of making it all the way up the monster hill while pushing the stroller - it only took her three weeks to accomplish it. Pretty good, huh?

Today Rick, Emily, Jenny and I ran six miles, and tomorrow is another session of speed work with Barb, followed by an evening run in the park. I'll be testing out my new pack - it arrived today! I want to use it on the 16 mile run that we have planned for Saturday, so I need to figure out all the quirks tomorrow.

That's all I've got for today...

This pack is awesome, best out there I tried - and I tried about 6 of them.
Too bad I am over the time pushing the stroller - it could be great training:) Have fun at 16!

I'm curious to hear what you think of the pack!

Good work on that hill running. You're definitely getting in your hill work!

I don't think you ordered quirks with the pack. I think those are extra ;-)

I did enjoy the run yesterday and felt bad for offering to help push the stroller up the big bad hill when in fact it was her goal to summit w/o walking. Emily made it and recovered fast for the next hill.

Have fun with Barb at the track!

Great job on another hill run + 2 down. I can't wait to hear all about the speed work and the new toy.

See you at the track!

I really enjoyed the romantic post no matter what Rob says. But that may be because I'm old enough to remember those days.

I think you will love the pack since both me and Jamal wanted a similar one, or maybe it is the same one. The one we looked at was real manly so maybe it's not quite the same:)

Enjoy the long run!

Just because you're sending your kids off to college doesn't mean you can't get in a good stroller workout like Emily does. :)

Hey, I enjoyed those romantic posts! You shouldn't force yourself to write about running just because Rob can't handle it.

Oh, that pack looks so cool. Almost makes me sorry I am not planning for some ultras.

I think Rob has been out-voted. Write whatever you want to write about, running, romance, kids, whatever. It is all great!

You know you should always follow a sweet lovey-dovey post with a rotten toenail picture. We don't want to get the wrong idea that it's all peaches and cream.

Ha Ha.

Congratulations - I think you know I'm teasing you.

The romantic posts were fine. The pack looks like its going to be a winner, even without the supplementary quirks that Eric mentioned.
