Eugene is in the Bag!
This is a quick report. We just got home and I'm tired.
- A new PR: 5:29:30.
- Melissa, Michelle and I ran together for about five miles, then Melissa and I ran together till mile 14, where she took off. So I ran 12 miles of the marathon alone - a first.
- Eric ran 50 miles yesterday, the marathon today and finished in under four hours.
- My toes are okay - they have some blistering, but not terrible.
- My legs hurt a little sooner than usual today.
- I got a sunburn.
- It was really fun chatting with Darrell, Sarah and their spouses last night, and having a post-run meal with Darrell today.
- Eugene is a long, long ways away.

Congrats on your PR, Michelle! And considering you ran half of it alone, you must have been doing a fantastic job of pacing yourself.
I'm so proud of you! Please take care of the toes - I am looking forward to hitting the road with you soon.
Congrats! PRs always feel great.
That's a good PR! Congratulations. Now have a good rest in Puyallup, where the men are crazy, the women are tough, and the toes are ok! (Doesn't have the same ring as yours though.)
Wow...congrats on the PR, Michelle! (and on that toe, too!!) Good for you. :) Looking forward to hearing a longer report when you have the time and energy for it.
Congrats on the PR! Rest up!
Fabulous job on the pr! Woohoo! : ) It was great seeing you and the gang. Sorry we didn't stick around on Sunday, but the boys were getting antsy to get home. Enjoy your recovery/taper! : )
congrats on teh PR! And with 12 miles on your own! That's great!
Great job on a new PR...sweet!!
It seeme to me sometimes you are standing on a shooting range, all the marathon races as targets around you, and bang! bang! they fall, one after the other.
Congratulations, once again. Is that the one that gives you the extra maniac star?
You're running so many marathons, they tend to blend into one.
Yay for a great run and a PR!! Awesome job, for somebody who was thinking to stop going long?? No way, Michelle, you are not done yet, 4 hrs are close!
Yay for the PR!
Boo for the sunburn!
Yay for Eric doing his 76.2 miles in 48 hours and holding it together!
Woohoo for the PR yesterday. Hope your toes aren't in too bad of condition.
I set a new PR yesterday by running my first "official" Half Marathon 2:46:40, with no real ill effects from it, just being tired, but today I've bounced back and nothing really aches or is sore. For once I wasn't last in my age class....woohoo.
Randy
yay! Congrats!! It's great that you all got to meet up to and run together, eat together, etc.
yay!!!
Michelle you are just smoking...PR again! Congratulations!
btw, just saw Eric & Rob's photo on the capitol forest run over the weekend! They looked like they blasted the distance too.
Congratulations on a great race, Michelle! Have a good time on our retreat!!
Ho hum, another PR, you make it seem easy. Eric should provide a record breaking cash award or present. And minimal feet problems is a bonus. For us I mean, no painful feet photos.
Nice job at Eugene, Michelle. PR races have a way of reverberating pride long after the race is over. Hopefully, you are savoring that pride. You deserve it! Nice work.
Something tells me this post-race report is gonna be so good. Can't tell you how happy I am for you, Michelle. Bravo!
Congratulations! I am glad you got that PR. It was fun. When are you going to double???
Congratulations on the PR Michelle.
Congratulations!! Seems you PR every couple of weeks! Good job.
Awesome, Michelle!! Look forward to the full report.
Really happy to hear the toe behaved!!!
