Checkin' in from Alaska...

Just a quick note - I've got to get back to the room so we can go to the movies! Had a great run today. Once again, the race that was advertised as a 5 miler was not. It was 5.6 miles! Fine with me. I ran it in 58:43 - I was thrilled to pull it in under an hour. Eric ran the marathon in about 3:25 - we haven't checked the official times yet. Riley was right around 50 minutes - his injury from track was talking to him on the cambered roads. Eric saw two moose at the beginning of the marathon, which is way cool. It has been lots of fun so far. Tomorrow we are leaving Anchorage and heading for Girdwood where we plan to get in some hiking, take the train to Seward, and anything else that looks like fun.

Thomas - this is our first and only trip to Alaska - I must have confused you a while back when I was talking about it!

That's great! It's so cool that you are in Alaska. I'm a bit jealous.

And, just so you know, Running Wife is dealing with a knee injury. She's coming along. I'm hoping this bit of down time will allow for the formal launch of her weblog.

Enjoy your trip! Congrats on the race.

Oops, apologies, I was sure I had read an entry about you and Alaska before. Never mind, good job on the race, and enjoy the rest of your time.
