Y Run for Kids 5K

I know I said I wasn't going to post, and I'm supposed to be helping my husband clean the spare room, but I'm so excited I just had to share! I ran the 5K in 34:00 by my watch. That's a 10:57 pace, which is a great time for me. I walked twice, skipping my last one because I was close to the finish, and I ran steadily up the hills. Okay, okay, my heart rate was pretty bad - 163 average and 178 max (on the steepest hill), but I felt great, absolutely great. And I was having a conversation with Barb the whole way. And I beat Rob. (He was walking with his family, I just put that in to bug him.) Cool, huh?

woo hoo, you beat Rob! :)

Great job, I knew your "slow" pace wouldn't be much off from mine!

Absolutely COOL!!! And it's a great time for anybody, forget the woman who just had some insides removed! Just imagine how you beat Rob when he actually runs this thing in a near future:)

I have been resting all day due to the brutal beating you served out to me today.

Congratulations on the 5k, and you beat Rob fair and square. Don't listen to any excuses he might come up with - he's constantly walking during his races, just read his latest race report!
