Southward Bound

Tonight is the night the road trip begins! We'll be jamming ourselves and our stuff into the car and driving through the night. Last spring, last week, even yesterday, it sounded like fun. Now that the day is here, I'm a little anxious - I am not a good car traveler (just ask Eric). What was I thinking? Twelve or more hours in a car? Up all night? Then I think of the women I'm travelling with and I know we'll have fun.

I'm so looking forward to the weekend - meeting blogging friends in person, seeing Laurice again and just hanging out in San Francisco. I have no worries about the run, it's going to be relaxed and fun. I think running through a city is one of the best ways to see a lot in a short time. It is only my second time in SF - the first trip was a quick overnight - so I have a lot to see. It's also been a wild week at work and I am looking forward to the break.

I'm taking Tuesday off as well, I hope to get a report up then. Until then...fair warning. Watch out San Francisco - the Y Run Club Women are headed your way!

Have a great trip, Michelle! SF is the most beautiful city in the world, in my humble opinion.

Also, I meant to reply by e-mail .. but I've LOVED your recent comments on my blog before and after Firetrails. Very clever and insightful. Thanks for the kind support.

Michelle - 12 hours in a car? Yuck! Well that's nothing that a few "travelers" or "roadies" won't solve ;)

Hey, you could do hill repeats on that famous SF road that's always in the movies (I can't remember the street name).

Have fun and good luck!
