To look at the photos, it seems there was no night at all :-) But we know better.

Your Y crew looks wet!! Wow, what a service for them to be out in the cold and rain for all the runners. Thank them, at a distance, for me...I admire that!

Those pictures of "coming in"... They convey so much of the experience of crewing, the waiting, the looking up the path, the hoping for the runner to appear, to pass this station, and make it to next, and the one after that, and finish. It's all there, in that figure that still looms behind trees, but is coming, is "coming in."
