Three out of Four and Three Stars

Vancouver Marathon, done. Three weeks back-to-back, one more to go. One week to enjoy three stars, then it's on to four after the finish of next week's marathon. This will be another short report due to another long day of travel - a four hour drive and an 50 minute wait at the border.

  • Chip time: 5:25:45, a new PR.
  • This was the first marathon I have run alone. It was also the first one where there weren't other Y Runners along the course cheering us on, or at the finish line.
  • It rained. A light spring rain, from start to finish.
  • Two tender toes - blisters, but not as bad as a couple weeks ago. Blisters on the sides of both feet. I attribute it to wet feet and new skin.
  • I feel amazingly good.

Oh, and it turns out I had two guys confused last week - Bob Dolphin and Mel Preedy. It was Mel who slapped me on the back as he went by. Today, I saw him on the out and back and he yelled out "you win this week!". More to come tomorrow or Tuesday!

Michelle, I just left for Eric how I checked the results a few hours back - and yee-pee!!! A PR, woman, a star, and no pain!!! As I love to say, "race yourself in shape" is the best strategy:) Congrats!

Woot! You're my hero Michelle.

Way to go. For what it's worth, I probably have worse blisters than you this weekend. I'm not sure if that means you win or I win that "competition."

Way to go, Speedo. No problem for you with a 6 hour course limit. Yeah!

Have fun in Tacoma next week and then enjoy a free weekend.

Congrats Michelle...and you were worried about time. You will be even stronger next week and won't even need that early start. Can't wait to run with you!

You are amazing, Michelle. You know how Indians always get a name that truly expresses their nature? You jump so fast from one star to the other, I am going to call you Star Rider.

You are truly awesome. I don't know how you can do these back to back...what endurance.
Can you stop by and let me know what intervals you run/walk?
Good luck next weekend.

What, do you, like PR every week or something? You know, most people would kill for that! Awesome, absolutely awesome! Congrats, soak in the glory for a couple days, that is, until you have to do it all again. ;)

Happy Running!
