A Reasonable Facsimile

Remember back in December when I reported that I was going to be a TV star? Well, I'm kind of lame, because though the clip has been airing for a month now, I keep forgetting to watch it. Luckily, it has now been posted on the net. I'm going to give you the link, even though it turns out I'm not really star material. I'm also pretty sure I don't look like this or sound like this, but it is a reasonable facsimile of the real me, so I thought some of you might like to see it. (You are looking for Episode 5, January 2007. I'm the first one up, so you don't have to watch the whole thing.) Pierce TV is a student production and it gave us some free advertising, so I did it. I was speaking extemporaneously and I was a little nervous, thus the repeated usage of some words. Oh, well. Try to put it out of your mind and go back to thinking of me as the runner you know and love!

You're famous. You should be on King 5, or Kiro, or something even bigger. Maybe American Idol!

That sounds like a great program you're doing over there! I'm impressed. (Do you think that maybe your next job will be TV anchor?) :)

That was cool! What great publicity. You did a great job.

Couldn't you have dropped a plug for your blog in there somewhere?

Are you kidding? That's a great job! I can talk non-stop for a good, I'm guessing, 59 hours straight but if someone put a camera in front of me I'd be lucky to remember to wipe my own drool from my chin as I stood there with my mouth hanging open and absolutely no words.
And that sounds like a great program you have there- really doing something for the community! Go Michelle!

For speaking off the cuff, you did a fantastic job. You looked very nice, too, all dressed up for work!

You're a natural in front of the camera...unlike me, I'd start shaking, sweatin, etc. Nicely done.
