Fairhaven Waterfront 15K

Short story: great course, great race, beautiful weather (sunny and 47 to start). Eric got 2nd in his age group with a 1:00:23. The guy who got first went to high school with Eric and they had drivers ed together! I came in at 1:45:27 (chip time). I was hoping for 1:48 so I'm happy. I felt comfortable during the whole race and once again, passed a lot of people on the hills. I don't think most back-of-packers train on hills. Eric and I went out this morning to Lake Padden to run - it has a 2.6 mile path around the lake - mostly gravel. I did three loops for 7.8 miles. I was a little tired after yesterday, but love running there. It's been a busy and long weekend, so I'll add some pictures and call it a post!

Sounds like a great weekend. Nice job at the race and tell Eric congratulations on his 2nd place. Two more weeks to Portland just in case you forgot.

Awesome job to poth you and Eric. And, great job on keeping on top of the hills - there are very few hills in Chicago so that is something I rarely do.

Nice job on the uphills and on meeting your time goal. I love passing those people because they are usually the ones that passed me on the downhill.
