Hill Run Tomorrow

I totaled up my mileage for last week - about 31 miles. Nice. I rested as promised on Monday, then ran an hour this morning - probably about 5 miles - and then after spending the day at a retreat for work, ran 35 minutes with the dog when I got home. Other than the fact that I ate too much junk food before the run - pastries, potato chips, lunch and chocolates at the retreat, then an apple on the way home - I felt good. After all that food my legs were good, my stomach kind of so-so. I know better than that, but you know...sometimes you just gotta go with the flow.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to try one of Eric's hill training runs - it's about six miles. I'll be running down to the valley, around the fairgrounds, then back up the hill. Trust me, this is a big hill. I'm not too good with elevations and stuff, but it's probably a mile long and maybe a 300 foot elevation gain? Rob, you probably know, help me out here. Anyway, I've run down the hill to the train station to pick up the car before, but I've never run back up the hill. I never thought I could do it, but now I'm thinking I can! I'll let you know how it goes. Next week I intend to try his other infamous hill run. I'm having a lot of fun testing myself these days!

After the shirtless comment I am not sure I should help you out or not, but since I am a nice guy I would say you are pretty close in your estimation. I think the hill is a little bit longer than a mile and probably pretty close to 300-350 feet of elevation gain.
