On the Road Again...
I ran for about 2.7 miles, in about 33:39. I felt great! It was so wonderful to be outside and running again. I could feel a slight pull on the right side of my abdomen, and a little rubbing on one incision point, but nothing really bad. When we were done I felt a little like the my right abdomen was trying to cramp up, otherwise good. My average heartrate was 149, and it started skipping once I finished, but has settled down now - about an hour and a half later.
I ran with Barb, who is facing knee surgery in the next week or two, so we were evenly matched. We walked on up and down hills to ease her knee pain (and to give me a break since I was trying to go easy!) I feel pretty good about the whole thing. The way the doc put it was that if I am sore at the end of the day, then I know I did too much. I guess I'll see how I feel tonight. For now though, I'm planning to run again tomorrow morning.
I added a list of planned races on the sidebar - I usually don't plan ahead too far, but sign up for races at random, adding a race if Eric is running or if a bunch of the Y Run Club runners are signing up.

That's great news - glad the run went well!
You are certainly impressive. Your April 6 post was awesome. Thanks for making me take the time to think about all of the things we take for granted, but should remind ourselves about and appreciate often.
That's some good time, Michelle! And I am glad you feel great too!
Thanks for getting Kenny Rogers in my head. "On the road again, I just can't wait to get on the road again, making music with my friends and I can't wait to get on the road again."
I probably skipped a line in there, but it has been awhile since I heard the song.
It's not Kenny Rogers, it's Willie Nelson. Sheesh!
I am so glad to hear you are running again and look forward to seeing you Sunday :)
Glad you felt good!!! Hope everything goes smoothly and you are able to run tomorrow!
Glad your run was successful, it feels so good to get back out there and conquer! Keep pushing - within reason, of course :)
That's great! I'm glad you're back on the road, and that the first run went well. Stay healthy.
