It's Working!

I had have two fabulous days of running! I feel good! Whoo-hoo! Yesterday I ran for 1:03 with three other runners from the group. Now remember, one of my roles in the running club is to run with "the lame and infirm". I was running with Rick and Jenny (both coming back from knee surgery) and Emily (first trimester pregnancy). Although it makes me laugh, I love this job. Eventually, almost everyone from the run club runs with me - including speedsters like my husband, and Rob and Jamal. (I haven't run with Ruth yet, but someday...) We ran about 5.3 miles including rolling hills and one big whopper of a hill. Today I ran with Sonya and Rick on a new loop. It was a nice, flat country road. Eric's Garmin put our loop at about 4.6 miles, done in 56:12. That puts us at about 11:53 pace yesterday, and 12:10 today. Not too shabby - don't forget how often I walk. But the most important thing about them both - I FELT GOOD! Obviously, the new medication has kicked in.

Well, our 19 year old son, Web, just walked in the door for a visit. Haven't seen him in a month, so I'll check out for now!

Maybe if Ruth gets pregnant she'll run with you someday. Glad you have had a couple of good days of running. I have been missing the Starbucks.

Yeah for good runs. I love it when a run goes well, it just makes everything else feel good too.

Glad to hear the medication is working for you. I think it's so great that you have found a place in the run club and look at that role so postively.I know you are an encouragement to them.

Quality runs are important. After all, that's what we are doing all this running for, isn't it?
