One that I am thinking of is Capital Peak Mega Fat Ass near Olympia. You can do the 17 mile run or do it twice for 34. Be prepared for any weather!!! The top of Capital Peak can be brutally cold. But you are only at the top for a bit. It is only $3 and loads of fun. Fun to be out in the forest and get nice and muddy and be out with friends. John and James mark it real well so getting lost is not an issue. And when you finish, a nice warm fire awaits. Homeade soup most every time also. Glad your recovery is going well!
tom rileyseagull junkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12028864749826001843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22162202.post-1163099062271103932006-11-09T11:04:00.000-08:002006-11-09T11:04:00.000-08:00I must say, I'm impressed. What a process! Four spring marathons? Girl, you will need the summer off from racing. :)
Cheers to not being sore after a long race or run! Look at Van (or Dean Karnases or Sam Thompson).
It si also because we are not at the level elite runners are - they are pushing the limits at the edge of human capacity, we are pushing at the edge of OUR bodies capacity.
